Verivius for Patient Transport and Independent Ambulance services

In the Verivius audience, around nine out of ten CQC- registered ambulance providers run patient transport services (PTS): non-emergency transfers, outpatient transport, hospital discharge transport, high-dependency transfers, bariatric transport. The five key questions apply, with particular evidence weight on patient-handover records, vehicle safety and maintenance evidence, infection prevention and control during transport, clinical decision records by crew, and medicines- management documentation for controlled drugs carried on vehicles. Independent ambulance providers satisfy CQC for regulated activity, the Health and Care Professions Council for paramedic registration, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency for vehicle compliance, and (where contracted) NHS trusts and integrated care boards for contract terms.
